Claudius: Guilty or Innocent?â â William Shakespeare's Hamlet is a play that recounts a youngster, Hamlet, who needed vengeance for the demise of his dad. Subsequent to talking with his dad's soul, Hamlet was persuaded that the individual who killed his dad was his uncle, Claudius. Claudius slaughters his sibling for the most part in view of envy, the crown, the sovereign and a contempt of his sibling. Hence Claudius is blameworthy of the homicide of his sibling. Claudius executed his brothe chiefly because,he was desirous that his sibling had it made. He had his realm, a delightful queen(Queen Gertrude),and his son(Prince Hamlet) which would've assumed control over the realm when he kicked the bucket aside from Claudius, his own sibling, murdered him. We can see confirmation of Claudius' desire when Claudius hands Cornelius and Voltemand a bit of paper. What's more, Claudius says, However yet of Hamlet our dear sibling's demise the memory be green, and that it us befitted to hold up under our souls in distress, and our entire realm to be contracted in one temple of hardship, yet so far hath carefulness battled with nature that we with recognition of ourselves(pg.21). Right there he's colloquialism that his sibling's passing in memory be green, which means perhaps the green-looked at beast of desire. He was unable to remain to see his sibling upbeat so he chose to murder him. Claudius feels remorseful about executing his sibling. We can see Claudius;s regret when he is conversing with God and gives his monolog about his homicide. In this way, Claudius says, My more grounded blame annihilations my solid intent(pg.165). This statement demonstrates that Claudius understands that he committed an error and he likewise understands that he can't put everything behind him as mich as he needs to. Everything reminds him about his sibling, the realm, the sovereign and the crown. Claudius isn't in an ideal situation since he has executed King Hamlet.
